Key Stage 3

Adcote School emphasizes literacy and numeracy in Key Stage 3, recognizing these as essential foundations for academic success. The broad and varied curriculum covers a wide range of subjects. English, Mathematics, and the three Sciences begin in Year 9, allowing for deeper and more comprehensive study over three years.

GCSE Programme

Year 10 marks a pivotal academic transition for students as they embark on studying nine GCSE subjects. Beyond academics, students have the opportunity to join the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) or participate in Wayfarers, a distinctive outdoor education programme.

Additionally, PSHE lessons and Physical Education (PE) are mandatory, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded educational experience.

Sixth Form

The Sixth Form curriculum offers both core and elective subjects, providing students with the flexibility to tailor their education to individual interests and career aspirations. The diverse subject range includes Art, Craft and Design, Textiles, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Economics, English Literature, Further Mathematics, Geography, History, Mathematics, Music, Drama, Physics, Psychology, Spanish, Physical Education, and Travel and Tourism.

CLEAR Learning Programme

The unique CLEAR Learning Programme at Adcote School fosters core values such as Confidence, Leadership, Engagement, Achievement, and Resilience. Coupled with a rigorous assessment regime, this programme significantly contributes to an excellent academic reputation and the successful outcomes of graduates.

In 2023, an impressive 84% of Year 13 students achieved at least one A*/A grade at A Level, with half of all grades being A*, marking an 8% increase from the previous year.
